Across TCGA patient cohorts, NIPBL mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 8,275 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NIPBL-associated genes across cancer lineages are PTMAP4, THOC5, and ZC3H14. Each is linked with NIPBL in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NIPBL-to-partner and partner-to-NIPBL results are reported.
