Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NFRKB RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of NFRKB’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where NFRKB RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types NFRKB is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, LIHC, and KICH are the cancer types where NFRKB tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
