Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NFKBIE Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NFKBIE data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher NFKBIE Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NFKBIE expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, COAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where NFKBIE Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
