Across TCGA patient cohorts, NFIC mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 16 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NFIC-associated genes across cancer lineages are MEK1, IGFBP2, and Ku80. Each is linked with NFIC in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NFIC-to-partner and partner-to-NFIC results are reported.
