Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NEUROD4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NEUROD4 data layer compared with 18 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher NEUROD4 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NEUROD4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCEC show a favorable association.
LIHC, SKCM, and ESCA are the cancer types where NEUROD4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
