Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NELFA RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NELFA data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine carcinosarcoma (UCS), where higher NELFA RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NELFA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and SCLC show a favorable association.
UCS, LIHC, and SCLC are the cancer types where NELFA RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
