Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NEK9 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NEK9 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 12 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher NEK9 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NEK9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and LUAD show a favorable association.

GBM, CCRCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where NEK9 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
