Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NEK3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NEK3 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NEK3 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NEK3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and CCRCC show a favorable association.

HNSC, PDAC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where NEK3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
