Across TCGA cell cohorts, NEFL RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 2,251 significant associations in total. LUNG_NSCLC_LUSC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NEFL-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Neurofilament bundle assembly, Postsynaptic intermediate filament cytoskeleton organization, and Regulation of microtubule cytoskeleton organization. Each is linked with NEFL in more than 15 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NEFL-to-partner and partner-to-NEFL results are reported.
