Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NEDD8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NEDD8 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NEDD8 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NEDD8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and BRCA show a favorable association.
HNSC, UVM, and KICH are the cancer types where NEDD8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
