Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NEDD8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NEDD8 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher NEDD8 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NEDD8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LIHC, LUSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where NEDD8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
