Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NECTIN3 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of NECTIN3’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where NECTIN3 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types NECTIN3 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, THCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where NECTIN3 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
