Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NDUFAF8 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NDUFAF8 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NDUFAF8 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NDUFAF8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and LUAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, CCRCC, and LSCC are the cancer types where NDUFAF8 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
