Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NCOA5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NCOA5 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher NCOA5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NCOA5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, ESCA, and SKCM are the cancer types where NCOA5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
