Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NCAPGP1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of NCAPGP1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where NCAPGP1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types NCAPGP1 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, STAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where NCAPGP1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
