Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NCAPG RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NCAPG data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher NCAPG RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NCAPG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ and THYM show a favorable association.
KIRP, MESO, and ACC are the cancer types where NCAPG RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
