Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NBN mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NBN data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher NBN mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NBN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and COAD show a favorable association.

LUAD, HNSC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where NBN mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
