Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NBEAL1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NBEAL1 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher NBEAL1 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NBEAL1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and HNSC show a favorable association.

COAD, HNSC, and LSCC are the cancer types where NBEAL1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
