Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NARS1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NARS1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NARS1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NARS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where NARS1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
