Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NAPSB mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NAPSB data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher NAPSB mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NAPSB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD, LSCC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where NAPSB mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
