Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NANS Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NANS data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher NANS Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NANS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
THCA, SKCM, and ESCA are the cancer types where NANS Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
