Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NACAP6 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of NACAP6’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where NACAP6 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types NACAP6 is over-expressed in tumor.
LUSC are the cancer types where NACAP6 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
