Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NAALAD2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NAALAD2 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher NAALAD2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NAALAD2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SCLC, HNSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where NAALAD2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
