Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MYRFL RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MYRFL data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher MYRFL RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MYRFL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and STAD show a favorable association.
MESO, KIRP, and STAD are the cancer types where MYRFL RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
