Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MYO3B mass-spec protein differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MYO3B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where MYO3B mass-spec protein is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MYO3B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as CCRCC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
CCRCC and LSCC are the cancer types where MYO3B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
