Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MYL5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MYL5 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher MYL5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MYL5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
ESCA, TGCT, and SKCM are the cancer types where MYL5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
