Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MYL12A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MYL12A data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher MYL12A mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MYL12A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC show a favorable association.
CCRCC and LSCC are the cancer types where MYL12A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
