Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MYH9 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MYH9 data layer compared with 12 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher MYH9 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MYH9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and ESCA show a favorable association.
MESO, ACC, and SCLC are the cancer types where MYH9 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
