Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MYH16 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MYH16 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher MYH16 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MYH16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
ESCA and MESO are the cancer types where MYH16 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
