Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MX2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MX2 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher MX2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MX2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LGG, UCEC, and ESCA are the cancer types where MX2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
