Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MUC4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MUC4 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher MUC4 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MUC4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and READ show a favorable association.

LIHC, ACC, and COAD are the cancer types where MUC4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
