Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MUC15 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MUC15 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher MUC15 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MUC15 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and BLCA show a favorable association.
UCEC, ESCA, and ACC are the cancer types where MUC15 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
