Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTX1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MTX1 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher MTX1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTX1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
STAD, COAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where MTX1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
