Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTRF1L Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MTRF1L data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher MTRF1L Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTRF1L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC and HNSC are the cancer types where MTRF1L Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
