Across TCGA patient cohorts, MTR mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 47 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MTR-associated genes across cancer lineages are Cyclin-E2, JNK_pT183_Y185, and STAT3_pY705. Each is linked with MTR in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MTR-to-partner and partner-to-MTR results are reported.
