Across TCGA patient cohorts, MTOR protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 8,964 significant associations in total. LUAD shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MTOR-associated genes across cancer lineages are MFN2, RPL22L1, and MICOS10. Each is linked with MTOR in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MTOR-to-partner and partner-to-MTOR results are reported.
