Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTNR1A RNA is linked to patient survival in 13 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MTNR1A data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher MTNR1A RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTNR1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and READ show a favorable association.

BRCA, CESC, and ACC are the cancer types where MTNR1A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
