Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTND5P19 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTND5P19’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where MTND5P19 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTND5P19 is over-expressed in tumor.
PRAD are the cancer types where MTND5P19 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
