MTND4P24

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTND4P24 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTND4P24’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where MTND4P24 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTND4P24 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and PAAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KICH, and PAAD are the cancer types where MTND4P24 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
