Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTND2P32 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTND2P32’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where MTND2P32 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTND2P32 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as ESCA and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KICH, ESCA, and STAD are the cancer types where MTND2P32 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
