Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTND1P11 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTND1P11’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where MTND1P11 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTND1P11 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, LUSC, and THCA are the cancer types where MTND1P11 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
