Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTIF2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MTIF2 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher MTIF2 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTIF2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and LUAD show a favorable association.

COAD, LUAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where MTIF2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
