Across TCGA patient cohorts, MTHFR mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 37 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MTHFR-associated genes across cancer lineages are mTOR_pS2448, ERK2, and Lck. Each is linked with MTHFR in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MTHFR-to-partner and partner-to-MTHFR results are reported.
