Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTFR1L Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MTFR1L data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher MTFR1L Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTFR1L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA show a favorable association.
SKCM, COAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where MTFR1L Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
