Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTFMT Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MTFMT data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher MTFMT Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTFMT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC, SARC, and SKCM are the cancer types where MTFMT Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
