Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTF2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MTF2 data layer compared with 30 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher MTF2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTF2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, UCEC, and OV are the cancer types where MTF2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
