Across TCGA patient cohorts, MTDH protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 14,205 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MTDH-associated genes across cancer lineages are MTURN, ZNF706, and KIDINS220. Each is linked with MTDH in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MTDH-to-partner and partner-to-MTDH results are reported.
