Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCYBP42 RNA is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MTCYBP42 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MTCYBP42 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTCYBP42 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC show a favorable association.

HNSC, THCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where MTCYBP42 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
