Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCO3P8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MTCO3P8 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher MTCO3P8 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTCO3P8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and ACC show a favorable association.

ESCA, KIRC, and ACC are the cancer types where MTCO3P8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
