Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCO3P39 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTCO3P39’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where MTCO3P39 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTCO3P39 is over-expressed in tumor.
LIHC are the cancer types where MTCO3P39 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
